4 NEW POSITIONS

The Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service (NNS), an online news and information hub operated by United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee, is seeking applicants for part-time beat reporters and web coordinators for Milwaukee neighborhoods.
The purpose of the Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service (NNS)is to:

provide objective, fair reporting about under-covered communities, highlighting successes and challenges in implementing neighborhood revitalization efforts;
bring community stories to the widest possible Milwaukee audience.

NNS, now in development, is seeking applicants for the position of freelance beat reporter and web coordinator.
Beat reporters will attend training sessions taught by professional journalists and will be coached on reporting, writing and multimedia production on an ongoing basis.
Web coordinators will be trained to use the NNS Content Management System (CMS), participate in training sessions taught by professional journalists, and will be coached on web design and social media management on an ongoing basis.
